Mel is the founder and driving force behind Paradigm Shift. She brings a strong background in Human Resources, Safety, and organizational leadership, supported by a Bachelor of Business degree. She is actively continuing her education in counseling and leadership development to better serve the needs of her community.

Mel has served on multiple boards throughout the region, including nonprofit boards, professional associations, and leadership councils focused on workforce development, women’s empowerment, and community growth. Her board service includes roles in governance, compliance, educational programming, and strategic planning. She understands how systems work from the inside and uses that knowledge to advocate for accountability, fairness, and positive change.

Alongside her professional expertise, Mel is a mother and a passionate advocate for women and children. Her personal and professional life reflect a consistent commitment to protecting vulnerable voices, supporting working families, and building healthier environments for future generations. Her lived experience, paired with her leadership background, shapes Paradigm Shift with empathy, courage, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people of the Permian Basin.
